My short story "The Line" has been published in The Lemonwood Quarterly, a new online literary journal. "The Line" is the latest of my packing plant stories to be published, and the last to be written. It takes a different point of view and approach than the other packing plant stories, and it is (for now) a sort of final word on the whole packing plant experience from my youth. You can read it and a generous handful of other stories here.

I've just had a new creative nonfiction story published by Stereo Stories, making this my third publication on that site. This one is about Terry Callier's song "Lazarus Man" and how it affected me upon first hearing it on a drive into work one night roughly 26 years ago. You can read it here.
My short story collection, Lost Time Incidents, was once again a finalist, this time for Willow Springs Books' 2024 Spokane Prize for Short Fiction. It didn't win, but that's twice now that the collection has made it to the final round.
