I've just had a new creative nonfiction story published by Stereo Stories, making this my third publication on that site. This one is about Terry Callier's song "Lazarus Man" and how it affected me upon first hearing it on a drive into work one night roughly 26 years ago. You can read it here.
My short story collection, Lost Time Incidents, was once again a finalist, this time for Willow Springs Books' 2024 Spokane Prize for Short Fiction. It didn't win, but that's twice now that the collection has made it to the final round.
Does It Have Pockets has nominated "Gathering," a microfiction piece, for inclusion in Best Microfiction, an annual anthology. This was a welcome surprise, and an honor! And we'll see what happens....
